Friday, July 19 7:30-9:30 World Premiere of Justice League: The Flashpoint Paradox Come for the film, but stay for the star-studded panel that features Grey’s Anatomy stars Justin Chambers and Kevin McKidd as Flash and Batman, Ballroom 20.
We at KMKcentral love to recommend Kevin Movies as well as share in Fan enthusiasm as they find Kevin's Filmography and slowly work through it, with expressed permission from Ilgora I'm sharing with you her thoughts and feelings on a firm fan favorite "Dog Soldiers" Ilgora hails from Argentina ... thank you so much for sharing
As promise, brief words about Dog Soldiers. and thank you for the recommendation!! Ilgora *And that's how my mother saw a horror movie (on her own initiative!)* It was a KMKCentral recommendation. - "A werewolf movie? No way! But it is a FAN FAVORITE ... And so, with a lot of prejudice and a bit of suspense, sponsored by Amazon.Com, a cold winter night in Buenos Aires, no full moon, in front of my notebook (the TV screen seemed too large, just in case!) I surrendered to Dog Soldiers. Horror movies are not my thing. And while the boss in me, they do not enter our home, neither walking dead's, or vampires, or werewolves, or general truculence, to the dismay of my two daughters. This surrounded the "screening" of great expectation ... would mom last through the first howl? It would be a lie to say Dog Soldiers does not have all the ingredients of the genre: the camera caressing the Highlands, romantic camp in the forest, silver knife, a zipper moving by itself ... Arghhhh!! Wiping the blood from my face and about to press the OFF ... appeared. (In a great scene with the excellent Liam Cunningham). It can be called Lucius Vorenus or Owen Hunt, this time Sgt. Cooper. It is the unmistakable character that we know so well: no matter how he is dressed, where he is, or what century he is in… He is a fair man, a man of principles, "the only one who could save us," says the girl staring rapt. Bold, defiant, heroic, and also, the guy next door. How does director Neil Marshall know he had found the actor noted for his character? Does the character makes the actor or the actor makes the character? Because we are in 2002. Not yet reached the epic roles that made Mr McKidd who he is today. And yet, Sgt Cooper is completely him ... What makes an actor choose a script that page 4 is torn by claws and a jaw ripping people? How does he know it will become a "modern classic"? Of course, in the background, enraged wolf packs eat everything that moves, (surprisingly full body shown by the director and do not disappoint), flying guts, brains explode, red eyes see in the dark, corpses hanging from hooks ... and Kevin taking his first steps as army trauma surgeon also! While he is there, we're safe: he'll never let us down. When I emerged from my room, my youngest asked me: -"And so, mommy?" Me: -“Awesome”. My youngest ran to her sister´s bedroom: -“Mom liked it, the horror movie! she said enthusiastically, dreaming of the new universe that from that moment his eyes would open to ... My eldest, without looking up, smiled a half-smile and said: -“No kid, not your hopes, forget it; mom did not like a horror film: mom liked a Kevin McKidd film”. Keen to see the movie Amazon Thursday, September 26

The track in question was “Bonnie Henry Gordon” with a very special guest on guitar and vocals, internationally renowned Scottish actorKevin McKidd (Trainspotting, Dog Soldiers, Rome, Brave and Grey’s Anatomy). I’ve known Kevin since my involvement in the Speyside Sessions album at the end of 2011 and it came as a bit of a surprise to find out what a great singing voice he has. I don’t remember exactly when I first asked Kevin whether he might be interested in singing a vocal for the album but it might have been at a get together and music session at Pitgaveny near Elgin for the “Speyside Sessioner’s” last year. Anyway, Kevin was up for it though at one point I thought I might have to record the vocals myself as Kevin’s diary keeps him incredably busy and I thought it unlikely that he’d be able to fit in the recording. I was surprised when Kevin left a message a couple of weeks ago saying he’d be back in Scotland briefly and could we record the track in the homeland; absolutely was my reply. He did a superb job on the guitar and vocals and possibly his acting background helps him tell the story well but it was a real pleasure to hear my ballad brought to life; I really can’t thank him enough. After the recording session we headed up Deeside to the Aberdeen Arms in Tarland for a traditional Scots music session in the bar and what a night it was. The music was mighty and the craic epic and I can only say it was one of the best sessions I’ve been to in recent times. Kevin’s a North-East “loon” (in the Scots dialect of NE Scotland a “loon” is a boy and a “quine” is a girl) and a genuinely down to earth and nice chap and as far a I can tell he had a great night mixing with the locals and joining in with the music; it’ll be a night long remembered in Tarland. Cheers mate. Read the full blog post here The film will have its World Premiere at Comic-Con in San Diego on Friday, July 19 from 7:30-9:30pm in Ballroom 20. Friday, July 19 7:30-9:30 World Premiere of Justice League: The Flashpoint Paradox – Warner Bros. Home Entertainment, DC Entertainment and Warner Bros. Animation invite you to be the first to experience Justice League: The Flashpoint Paradox, the highly-anticipated next entry in the ongoing series of DC Universe Animated Original Movies. When time travel allows a past wrong to be righted for Flash and his family, the event’s temporal ripples prove disastrous, creating a fractured, alternate reality where the Justice League never formed, and even Superman is nowhere to be found. Amidst a new world being ravaged by a fierce war between Wonder Woman’s Amazons and Aquaman’s Atlanteans, Flash must team with a grittier, more violent Batman and government agent Cyborg to restore the continuity of Flash’s original timeline. Come for the film, but stay for the star-studded panel that features Grey’s Anatomy stars Justin Chambers and Kevin McKidd as Flash and Batman, respectively, along with C. Thomas Howell (Southland), Cary Elwes (The Princess Bride), Sam Daly (The Daly Show) and a few surprise voice cast members, plus the filmmaking team of producer James Tucker (Superman: Unbound), director Jay Oliva (Batman: The Dark Knight Returns), dialogue director Andrea Romano (Batman: The Dark Knight Returns), screenwriter Jim Krieg (Green Lantern: The Animated Series) and character designer Phil Bourassa (Young Justice). Moderator Gary Miereanu will add to the fun with a special announcement of the 2014 DCU movie slate, as well as exclusive, cast-autographed prizes for a few lucky fans. Based on the landmark mini-series by Geoff Johns & Andy Kubert, Justice League: The Flashpoint Paradox will be available as a digital download on July 19, 2013 and a Blu-ray™ Combo Pack on July 30, 2013.
