Fiddler Paul Anderson released "Land of the Standing Stones" (LOTSS) in mid-October 2013. Inspired by the sounds of North-East Scotland and Paul's native Aberdeenshire, the album features a rich variety of traditional idioms such as airs, strathspeys, reels and jigs. The ambitious album took two years to complete and Kevin McKidd appears as a special guest, singing and playing guitar, on the original ballad "Bonnie Henry Gordon". Paul and Kevin met at the end of 2011 while recording “The Speyside Sessions” in Scotland during the week of Hogmanay. They have maintained a friendship ever since and Kevin recorded his part for LOTSS at the end of June 2013 while home visiting. It was the final recording session for the album. Paul has graciously donated the CD for KMKO to give away and which both he and Kevin have autographed.
