Where will they live? Can this rushed marriage survive? And what about Teddy (Kim Raver)? Kevin McKidd, one half of the married-couple-to-be, gives TVGuide.com all the dish and more:

TVGuide.com: Let's start with the big question: How does Owen propose to Cristina?
McKidd: It's quite a shocker. It's definitely an unexpected proposal. There is definitely one knee involved, but there's more to it than that. It's a funny scene because we see it as a flashback. The proposal comes out of something that we didn't expect. The proposal is not over some candlelight dinner.

TVGuide.com: When did you find out that Owen and Cristina were getting married, and how did you feel about it?
McKidd: I had been on a movie during hiatus, so I came back the day of the table read and a props master came up and said, "I have to measure your ring finger," before we did the read. I said, "Why?" and she said, "Because you're getting married in the first episode!" So she kind of let the cat out of the bag. Everyone else was pretty surprised, but I already knew. It's kind of a shocker. I think people are going to be taken aback by it.

TVGuide.com: Is this a rushed wedding because of what happened in the finale?
McKidd: People who have been through cataclysmic events, it does change people and make them realize what matters in life. It crystallizes relationships and can be the catalyst for people to take a big step in their relationship. It will be interesting to find out whether that was the right or the wrong step and what that means for Cristina and Owen going forward. Did they rush into it? Did they do it for the wrong reasons? I think they didn't do it for the wrong reasons, but all those questions will be asked.

TVGuide.com: How does Cristina change because of the finale and the subsequent engagement?
McKidd: She's displacing all of her anxiety and focusing it into that one thing that she can plan for and control: the wedding. This horrible event happened to Cristina in an O.R., which is the place that she loves above all else. One of the things that can trigger PTSD is being back in the same place that the event happened. So this causes a big problem for her. She definitely does try to fixate on the wedding. Very quickly after they get married, Owen starts to realize that there's a lot more to this. The wedding and being married isn't going to fix her, so he starts to step up in different ways and try to help her back to the whole person she used to be.

TVGuide.com: How does everyone in the hospital react to them getting married so quickly?
McKidd: They've been together for two seasons, so maybe it isn't rushed, but Owen and Cristina are still struggling through a lot of things together and are very committed to each other. Even though they know people around them in the hospital are thinking, "Wow, these guys are really doing this quickly," they are still the soul mates that we've known them to be. I think it does deepen their relationship.

TVGuide.com: So they will still keep that passion even as a married couple?
McKidd: Oh yeah. I think what's interesting is that they got married very quickly because of something big that happened in their lives, and now they have to look at the consequences. The audience will see Owen and Cristina constantly question whether they made the right decision. Not about being with each other, but getting married so quickly. Nobody is thinking straight after a huge event like that. If that hadn't happened, would they have done it? That will be the question. So it does keep that spark and that will-they-won't-they thing alive in their relationship. They're constantly pulling and pushing with each other.

TVGuide.com: Cristina and Owen's storyline has been a little dark over the last two seasons, with his dealing with PTSD. Might we eventually see some lighter, more comedic moments with them?
McKidd: I hope so. It does seem to be that Cristina and Owen get the intense, messed up relationship storylines quite a bit. I would like to explore the lighter moments. We're going to see them build a home together. Now that their married, they can't be kind of house sitting. They need to find a place they're both happy with. We're going to see them have fun, because they're both very strong-minded people, who have very definite opinions and tastes. They're not necessarily the same, especially when they chose a place to live and how to decorate it. I think it'll be more domestic fun for them.

TVGuide.com: So they won't be living with Callie (Sara Ramirez) and Arizona (Jessica Capshaw) anymore?
McKidd: I think they suddenly get the feeling that being a married couple in that situation is not making everybody feel comfortable, and they want to have their own space as well. They kind of need to spread their wings.

TVGuide.com: With Owen finally choosing Cristina over Teddy in the finale, can you confirm that love triangle will stay dead and buried now?
McKidd: That's what I've been told. [The writers] seem to want to build storylines for Teddy in a different way now. It almost feels like last season should've been the season that Owen and Cristina should've broken up, but however it happened, they didn't. On paper, they should've been broken up years ago, but they're still going strong. I like that. I think in the writers' minds, they want to not be so actively going down the path of how to break these people up, but now it's how they can keep them together. The triangle isn't there anymore. It's more how Cristina and Owen will fight for their relationship and their marriage. He's going to be a rock for her for a lot of this season. He took a lot from Cristina in the first season and, in a way, it's kind of payback time, and he does that willingly and gladly because he loves her.

TVGuide.com: There's always a lot of baby talk on Grey's. Do you think that could be in the cards for Cristina and Owen?
McKidd: I think that would be interesting. I know there was originally a storyline that ended up being changed in Season 1, where Cristina got pregnant and they were going to have a baby, but they decided to save that for later. I wouldn't say that isn't going to happen, because we almost started that storyline a few seasons ago, but decided it was too much too soon. A lot of comedy would come out of that seeing the two of them face that together, because they're kind of an odd couple, especially as parents.

Breaking News : Spoiler Alert

http://www.kevinmckiddonline.com/1/post/2010/08/post-title-click-and-type-to-edit14.html

http://www.kevinmckiddonline.com/1/post/2010/08/post-title-click-and-type-to-edit14.html#comments

Uncategorized

check out the full articles at the following sites [...]

check out the full articles at the following sites Eonline, EW and Fancast
below the read more a few snips from those articles (Spoiler Alert)

Eonline
Cristina (<ahttp: href="http://www.eonline.com/uberblog/celebs/c116716_Sandra_Oh.html">Sandra Oh</ahttp:>) and Owen (<ahttp: href="http://www.eonline.com/uberblog/celebs/c152423_Kevin_McKidd.html">Kevin McKidd</ahttp:>) of ABC's Grey's Anatomy!

Yep, they are the couple who will be getting engaged—and hitched—in the Sept. 23 season premiere, which will jump ahead two months in the storyline.

It's gonna be fantastic—and romantic!—but, mind you, not everything has been flowers and sunshine for "Crowen" since we last saw them.

EW ~ Entertainment Weekly
The theme of this season is rebirth,” declares the Grey’s boss lady. “Everybody is sort of coming out of this very dark place [following last season's massacre]. And if you continue to deny ‘Before’ while concentrating only on the life in front of you in the ‘After’ can you truly make forward progress? These are the very questions explored by Owen and Cristina in Season 6 after the arrival of Dr. Teddy Altman, a wartime friend of Owen’s who took on a temporary contract as head of cardio-thoracic surgery at Seattle Grace/Mercy West.

Owen believed his friend Teddy could be the teacher to help Cristina advance her surgical skills. For Cristina, an opportunity to stretch her cardio wings again was just what the doctor ordered, except this gift came with a hefty price tag. It turned out Teddy had come to Seattle to reconnect with Owen, hoping for more than the platonic friendship they’d previously shared. Teddy’s confession found Owen caught between his love for Cristina and pride at her professional advancement and a friend who had changed the game unexpectedly. The mid-season series of episodes became a shell game of who knew what when, combining Cristina’s ever present struggle to balance love and career with unanticipated reminders for Owen of his Iraq war experience courtesy of Teddy’s arrival.

Events came to a head quickly as Cristina misinterpreted Owen’s uneasy interactions with Teddy, causing Owen to pull Teddy aside to clarify the situation. Remembering Dr. Wyatt’s admonition about healing through talking about his time in Iraq, Owen allowed that while he’d once had feelings for Teddy the reality of his post-war life was that he’s in love with Cristina. Owen also found his words when confronted by Cristina’s fears about their relationship. Upon hearing Cristina say, ‘I’m insensitive sometimes but I’m not oblivious. I don’t want you to be with me because you feel like you owe me something. I mean you two went through war…’ Owen realized his actions left Cristina doubting his love for her and her place in his life. He responded by taking Cristina into his arms and passionately kissing her, telling her, ‘I’m with you. I’m with you because I want to be. I’m with you because I love you.’

The professional vs. personal paradigm soon shifted again after Teddy assigned Cristina a solo cardio surgery. While overjoyed at the opportunity, Cristina struggled to connect with her emotionally needy and indecisive patient. Owen’s cautious optimism shifted to concern as Teddy denied Cristina’s requests for assistance in the operating room as her patient spiraled. Teddy later agreed it was possible she’d let her feelings impact her behavior and decided to withdraw from her contract. Distraught at the loss of yet another teacher, Cristina was even more ill prepared when Teddy admitted her love for Owen as the reason she was leaving. In a moment of gut-wrenching fear attached to her own long-standing conflict between love vs. career and how to balance the two, Cristina offered to trade Owen, horrifying both herself and Teddy.

As Cristina struggled to believe she would relinquish the person she loved for the thing she loved, she turned to the people with whom she had the most history – Meredith, Alex, and Izzie – to help clarify her thought process. Even given her friends’ input Cristina fell into old traps, believing herself capable of only sustaining her career given her relationship history. But after finding out what happened, Owen challenged Cristina to believe there was also room in her life for him. Shocked at Owen’s willingness to stand by her Cristina had no choice but to believe him when Owen declared what he viewed as an unalterable truth, ‘People do matter. I matter. We…We matter.’ Just like that, the argument Cristina had been having with herself all day became moot as she realized balancing love and career was indeed possible with Owen by her side.
To continue click read More after video clip.......

Cristina would get a chance to practice this newly gained belief system soon when paged for an emergent cardio case while entwined in Owen’s arms in an on-call room. Owen and Cristina fell back on their intense physical bond to shore up their recent recommitment and Owen earnestly asked Cristina to stay with him, which she ultimately did. Upping the ante was Owen having heard from someone else about Cristina’s previous failed wedding which he struggled to process, finally asking Cristina, ‘I’m trying to love you. Why won’t you let me?’ Turning reflective, Cristina explained she lost pieces of herself in that previous relationship and she can’t do it again, even given her love for Owen. Further connecting the dots she simply stated, ‘When you asked me to ignore Teddy’s page you took a piece of me and I let you. And that will never happen again.’ Cristina’s emotional growth was writ large as she opened a window for Owen on her past and also stated her current needs. Her words, in turn, helped Owen realize how his fears impacted his ability to support Cristina both emotionally and professionally in this instance.

Meanwhile, Teddy continued to be confused and angered by the distance in her friendship with Owen. Upon encountering Owen in a surgical scrub room the only safe topics seemed to be their respective surgeries. Sad that small talk had become the only conversational option with someone she once considered her best friend, Teddy reminded Owen they used to be able to talk about everything. Owen struggled to find the right words, eventually providing Teddy a light bulb moment when he said ‘It feels like I’m cheating on (Cristina) when I talk to you,’ and countered that he missed their friendship too. The vehemence of Owen’s statement seemed to illustrate for Teddy how very seriously he took his relationship with Cristina. Seemingly having realized the only way to retain even a semblance of their previous friendship was to attempt to accept Cristina’s place in Owen’s life, Teddy proclaimed she was unringing the bell as a way to close the door on her romantic fantasy and embrace what life in Seattle had to offer.

The most immediate result of Teddy’s decision is that she and Cristina were able to concentrate on the work at hand and became friendly workplace comrades. Cristina further displayed her burgeoning emotional maturity when she told Owen he didn’t have to deny his friendship with Teddy out of loyalty to their relationship, ‘You know, you can be her friend too. I never asked you not to be. You decided that all on your own.’ Cognizant of the gift of trust she’s just provided to him, Owen thanked Cristina with a tender kiss. Yet once inside the hospital we saw Teddy dreamily watch Owen working on a patient which encouraged Arizona Robbins, head of pediatric surgery and girlfriend of Cristina’s roommate Callie, to invite Teddy to girls’ night to provide Teddy with ‘friends who aren’t Owen Hunt.’ Meanwhile, Owen followed Cristina’s lead and attempted to reinvigorate his friendship with Teddy by inviting her to dinner with he and Cristina and later, a beer to celebrate an innovative surgery which she performed with Cristina. To support unringing the bell, Teddy heeded Arizona’s advice and instead chose to go out with the girls. And Owen is left wondering if a friendship with Teddy is really possible now that those words are out there and their lives are so different.

At Arizona’s continued urging Teddy sought further diversions and against her better judgment she accepted a date with Mark Sloan, head of plastic surgery. While Arizona primed Teddy to expect simply a passionate interlude, Mark is offended, claiming he has depth and wanted to get to know her. Aware of Mark’s romantic reputation, Owen warned Mark to treat Teddy well, prompting Meredith to accuse Owen of jealousy. Meredith further stated her intent to keep her eye on Owen should he threaten Cristina’s hard won happiness.

The middle section of the season saw further opportunities for growth for both Owen and Cristina, primarily through challenging Cristina’s long-held beliefs about love vs. career and how to balance those two essential segments of her life. As the season wound down we segued to an examination of Owen’s delineation of his life into Before and After, which hinged on the ambush which claimed the lives of everyone in his platoon and found him discharged from the army. As we sped toward the Season Finale, Owen would have to figure out how to deepen his relationship with Cristina while trying to regain a friendship with Teddy and also keep Meredith Grey off his back.

Next we’ll discuss 6.18-6.24 and summarize the season before it’s released on DVD September 14th and Season 7 starts airing September 23rd.

Video COforever

Kevin Filming in LA

http://www.kevinmckiddonline.com/1/post/2010/08/post-title-click-and-type-to-edit13.html

http://www.kevinmckiddonline.com/1/post/2010/08/post-title-click-and-type-to-edit13.html#comments

Uncategorized

As we announced on Twitter Yesterday GA was filming on location OLV http://www.onlocationvacations.com/Grey's Anatomy Filming in L.A.When Monday, Aug 30, 2010Description Grey's Anatomy Spring St, 3rd St. - 4th St. 8/30/10 7:00 A.M. - 6:00 P.M. margin-bottom: 10px;">

A snippet from an interview with Director Neil Marshall ~ in the interview Marshall touches on hiring Kevin for his Dog Soldiers role

A Neil Marshall film generally means a bloody good time. The English filmmaker spilled a lot of the red stuff with his feature debut, "Dog Soldiers," about a military crew (led by a young, pre–"Grey's Anatomy" Kevin McKidd) battling werewolves in the wilderness. Then came Marshall's tense, claustrophobic thriller "The Descent," which made audiences squirm by trapping a group of women inside a cave—and then unleashing deadly creatures upon them. "The Descent" brought Marshall two distinct honors. First, he was awarded the British Independent Film Award for best director of a British independent film. He was also identified as a member of the "Splat Pack"—a collection of filmmakers (including Rob Zombie and Eli Roth) known for outlandish gore and violence in their movies.

Marshall followed the critical and commercial success of "The Descent" with the post-apocalyptic thriller "Doomsday," in which murderous cannibals wreaked havoc in futuristic Scotland. But his latest film steps even further away from the horror genre. Set in 117 A.D., "Centurion" explores the legend of the Ninth Legion—more than 4,000 soldiers who disappeared when they marched into Scotland. In Marshall's telling, the soldiers are attacked by a savage band of warriors called the Picts A few survivors, led by Quintus Dias (Michael Fassbender of "Inglourious Basterds") struggle to reach safety while pursued by a mute and vengeful Pict huntress ("Quantum of Solace" Bond girl Olga Kurylenko). Marshall recently chatted with Back Stage about his previous movies, getting respect for the horror genre, and casting calls. .......

Back Stage : You have a great eye for talent, starting with Kevin McKidd in "Dog Soldiers." How did you find him?

Marshall: Well, I knew him from "Trainspotting," but had I just seen "Trainspotting," I never would've cast him, because he just seemed, from that film, so wrong. But a casting director persuaded me to meet him. He was very, very different in person, when he first walked in, with his hair kind of cut short and he'd filled out a bit and looked so much more the part, and he's got that great scar between his eyes, which adds to the character. But he's a phenomenal actor. He's so natural with it. So I was very, very lucky getting him and the rest of the cast of "Dog Soldiers." It was that mix of having people like Sean Pertwee and Liam Cunningham, who were experienced, and people who'd never been in front of a camera before but were really, really hungry, and that showed, and everybody just upped their game and had a great time making it.

full article and source here
screencaps thanks to Oldounce
thanks to Shylin
