THE depute head of his old school in Elgin reveals the Grey's Anatomy star was both 'charming' and 'clever'.
IN a new DVD he tells millions of Grey’s Anatomy fans that he was a tearaway at school who mended his ways to win global fame.
But yesterday one of his old teachers revealed that Kevin McKidd was really a model pupil.
Kevin – who also stars in Disney’s summer smash Brave – returned to Seafield Primary in Elgin to film a special feature for a box set of the acclaimed US medical drama.
He said his “rough” background led him into being disruptive in class and he was often found sitting outside the head’s office waiting to be punished.
Kevin, 39, tells fans: “Me and my elder brother were from a pretty rough area of Elgin. We would get in a lot of trouble.
“If it hadn’t been for acting I probably would have been in that punishment chair all the time. Acting put me on the straight and narrow.”
But yesterday Jan Weir said he was more of a teacher’s pet than the school’s bad boy.
Jan, a former depute head at Seafield, said: “Kevin was a charming lad and very clever. He was runner-up for school Dux.
