HOLLYWOOD stars Ewan McGregor and Kevin McKidd – who starred as Renton and Tommy in Trainspotting – have joined forces to help save an RAF base.
Elgin-born Kevin, who has become a global star thanks to his roles in hits Grey’s Anatomy and Rome, as well as Trainspotting, has voiced his support for the RAF base at Lossiemouth.
Kevin, whose parents still live in Elgin, insisted diverting the entire fleet of Tornado GR4s to Norfolk would strike a devastating blow for the community, throwing Moray into “a downward spiral”.
And Kevin’s former co-star Ewan McGregor issued a rallying call for the campaign before 7,000 protesters marched through Lossiemouth.
