Big names out for Brave's Inverness premier
GREEN astro turf was rolled out instead of a red carpet at Eden Court last night for the Highland premier of Disney Pixar’s blockbuster new film Brave.
Stars including Elgin-born actor Kevin McKidd, who voices two characters in the film and Julie Fowlis and 10-year-old Peigi Barker, who provided vocals in the film, attended the special screening.
Set in mediaval Scotland and voiced by a host of home-grown, the film went straight to number one in the US last week, taking in more than $80 million dollars.
Tourism bosses are predicting the film will provide a £140 million boost to the Scottish economy.
