SPORTSWEAR tycoon Sir Tom Hunter may rescue a flagship Scottish fashion show in New York from being cancelled.
The entrepreneur says he is “actively considering” joining forces with former First Minister Lord McConnell to ensure this year’s “Dressed to Kilt” event goes ahead...
...Robin Galbraith, of the Scottish Textiles Group, said: “There is no question that this event is a major asset for our industry. It raises our profile in the USA and the world.” Scots businessmen, including New York City Fashion Week supremo Geoff Day and Arcadia Group chief operating officer Ian Grabiner, are working with celebrities including actors Brian Cox and Kevin McKidd to bring the show together.
