Grey's Anatomy: 6 Burning Questions for the Season 12 Finale

Grey's Anatomy is closing out its 12th season Thursday by celebrating Owen (Kevin McKidd) and Amelia's (Caterina Scorsone) wedding day. But this is Grey's, so we know anything can happen. Will a shooter open fire inside the church? Will a plane crash into the hospital while everyone is at the ceremony? Only time will tell -- but here are six burning questions we need answered in the episode.
1. Will Amelia and Owen actually tie the knot?
We know from past experience that Amelia has a tendency to get cold feet and shy away from commitment, to say the least. Will her fears prevent her from exchanging vows with Owen? We hope not -- and if she does start to have doubts, please don't let another relapse come into play.
2. Will April and her baby be OK?
The promos seem to indicate that April (Sarah Drew) is going to have to have an emergency delivery, and Ben (Jason George) is, for some reason, the only person around to help her deliver the baby. The show can't possibly give April another baby-related heartbreak... can it? Oh, wait, this is Shonda Rhimes, so of course it can.
3. Why won't Jo marry Alex?
Jo (Camilla Luddington) refused Alex's (Justin Chambers) proposal at the end of last week's episode -- the third time she's done so -- but wouldn't give him an explanation as to why she doesn't want to become Mrs. Karev. It's clear that she loves Alex and doesn't want to break up, so there must be some underlying reason why she won't get married. Our theory? What if Jo's already married to someone else? Maybe that's the reason she's always so reluctant to talk about her past...
4. What's the fallout from Meredith and Riggs' hookup?
So are Meredith (Ellen Pompeo) and Riggs (Martin Henderson) a thing now or what? Will their parking lot hookup be a one-time thing, or are they both finally ready to move on from their lost loves? This may be a question that not even they know the answer to, but it will be interesting to see it play out. And, will they make their relationship -- whatever it is -- public? We're guessing the news won't sit well with Owen, for one.
5. Can Callie and Arizona make amends?
With Callie (Sara Ramirez) nursing a broken heart after Penny's (Samantha Sloyan) abrupt departure, hopefully she and Arizona (Jessica Capshaw) can come to some amicable agreement about Sofia, now that Callie has decided to stay in Seattle. And -- hope against hope -- maybe this could lay the foundation for a proper Calzona reunion!
6. Is Ben and Bailey's marriage doomed?
Ben's still on the couch, as far as we know, after his surgical screw-up. He and Bailey (Chandra Wilson) seem to be on pretty solid ground, with Bailey reiterating in last week's episode that he's the love of her life, but you never know. One more misstep from Ben might result in him sleeping on the couch in someone else's house. This probably isn't the best time for him to perform an emergency delivery!
