Yep, they are the couple who will be getting engaged—and hitched—in the Sept. 23 season premiere, which will jump ahead two months in the storyline.
It's gonna be fantastic—and romantic!—but, mind you, not everything has been flowers and sunshine for "Crowen" since we last saw them.
EW~ Entertainment Weekly The theme of this season is rebirth,” declares the Grey’s boss lady. “Everybody is sort of coming out of this very dark place [following last season's massacre]. And there was something really hopeful and beautiful about Cristina and Owen getting married.”
Fancast A Mystery Wedding It was previously teased that one of these couples – Callie/Arizona, Alex/Lexie or Owen/Cristina –would not only get engaged but also tie the knot during the Season 7 premiere (airing September 23). Back then, I said that the smart money was on Drs. Hunt and Yang, if only because of some sound bites Kevin McKidd fed to TV Guide Magazine.
“They definitely take it to the next level,” McKidd said of the oft-waylaid Owen-Cristina romance. “The wedding could easily be them.”
Well, I am now at liberty to report – nay, confirm! – that the lovebirds about to exchange vows are… Owen and Cristina. I therefore justify my photo choice of Meredith in wedding finery by saying: She’s sure to be the maid of honor if there’s anything remotely resembling a formal ceremony.
