Our favorite Christmas Show Father Ted : A Christmassy Ted.
One of Kevin's First Television appearances was as Father Deegan In A Christmassy Ted - Broadcast 24th December, 1996
Often Father Ted is referred to as Kevin's first professional TV appearance but Kevin had appeared in front of the TV camera before this. Kevin told us recently that he was in FOT (false or true) which was a kids TV show in the UK and his first on camera gig (apparently a very small sketch) he was still in drama school at the time. The second one was "Only the lonely" (1995) which was a pilot for a Scottish sitcom he did this production before Trainspotting just as he left drama school - Elaine C Smith was the star - (she is a well known Scottish comedy star from shows like Rab C Nesbitt).... Both of these productions are missing from Kevin's Filmography.
"Ireland's largest lingerie department" in "A Christmassy Ted" is in fact Dunnes Stores in Ennis. The sequence was filmed just before the shopping centre was opened
